- DPDaniel PeraltaJul 23, 20131.0My boyfriend came in with his payroll check that was from his company who banks with Wells Fargo The teller Con, profiled my bf probably because of his appearance, and told him that they have had a lot of fraudulent checks recently and he needed to have another person verify it, so he walked him over to Dan, who told us this was procedure even though neither of us had ever had this happen to us before. After he did in fact verify that it was indeed a real, legitimate check, Dan walked us over to a women teller who asked for a 2nd form of ID and after handing her the 2nd form of ID that he has used at Wells Fargo in the past and every other place that cashes checks she refused to accept it. At this point, we decided to save ourselves the headache and extra money and cash it at Walmart. This is exactly why people stay away from banks and the "service" we got at this Wells Fargo is a classic example of why!
