The teller Andrew M. was, from the moment I walked into the branch, repulsed at the very idea of customer care. A simple deposit turned into a 10 minute awkward silence while he stared blankly at the terminal screen. Then, trying to break the uncomfortable silence I asked about credit cards, the look he gave was one of utter disgust, as if that question had inconvenienced him on a personal level. He said he would "get some information for me". What happened was I waited another 10 minutes while he read the computer screen in total silence. Printed nothing, emailed nothing, said nothing. I walked out. If it wasn't for the Umpqua South Lake Union branch I would have transferred my money and closed my accounts to avoid Umpqua for life.
