- JJJEOct 24, 20251.0I had been with Twinstar for about 15 years with no real issues. It’s only been a few months with Peak after the merger and I am done. The app is an absolute mess and it seems their banking policies have changed, which has already cost me money. I addressed this thru messaging online and was lied to by the rep.
- CCceSep 20, 20251.0The merger with Peak has been anything BUT seamless. I have experienced bank mergers before and I've had to do nothing. It just worked. However not the case here. I've been locked out of my Twin Star account for over a week and instead of it just redirecting you, the message is "something went wrong, try again later". Does that sound like a good message for a site no longer functioning? Now, I have to download the Peak app and use a web page I'm completely unfamiliar with. I've been very disappointed in Twin Star and have already closed my joint account. I've had transfers take 2-3 days, when it happens immediately at other banks. I will be looking for another bank. The lady at the Onalaska branch was condescending, like "well, we sent out letters". Like it's my fault they were unable to merge as seamless as other banks. I've had several instances of fraud at this bank that I don't experience with other banks. And each time they close out my card, but don't send me a new one unless I call and request it. The joint account I just closed had a debit card linked to my husband that we knew nothing about. I had a $1.13 fraud charge that prevented me from completley closing our joint account and receiving the money owed me. I now have to wait for my check. I have had several of these little fraud charges at this credit union. Their security is lacking.
