- JGJohn GenisJul 17, 20251.0Unusually suspicious when it came time to cash a check. They wanted verification from the check writer, but couldn’t reach him. Okay, no problem. I called the check writer, and had him call them back within a minute from his own phone to provide the info they needed to verify. Now, the manager suddenly needs more info which apparently the check writer and account holder couldn’t provide. That’s right, the account holder is on the phone saying “this check is valid, go ahead and cash it” and the bank manager still refused to cash the check. “Go ahead and deposit it at your own bank, but if it bounces you may be charged a fee”. Incredibly rude, unusual and a frustrating waste of time.
