- IKIamtheonewho knocksNov 18, 20251.0I have banked with Capital One for many years, but I decided I wanted a brick and mortar bank where I could go to cash a check or talk to someone about wealth management or whatever. I went to this bank one Friday morning around 11:00. When I came in, there were no customers and there weren’t any workers either. After a second, a man came from the back. He asked me, rather rudely, what I needed. I told him I wanted to open an account. I had just gotten a refund from financial aid for about $5500 and wanted to start a new account with it. He told me that he didn’t have time to open any accounts that day and to come back the next day. I looked around and said, there’s no one here, how do you not have time? He again told me to come back the next day. It will be a cold day in hell before I go back there. I just traveled my happy butt down the road to BECU and opened my account. Not only did they have time and open a checking and savings account, but I was able to get a car loan and bought myself the car I have been wanting for a long time, at a really good interest rate. I got a credit card where I was able to transfer my other balances and pay less in interest. I also was able to talk to a very knowledgeable lady about wealth management and learned some important lessons. I have thought about that incident a lot and the only reason I can think of that he would act that way is because I am a black woman. I am used to people being ignorant about my race, especially since we’ve moved to this area, it comes with the territory, but they usually aren’t so blatant. Well, you guys lost a good customer because your employee doesn’t know how to treat people. I have a 24-year-old son who just sold a very lucrative business and was looking for somewhere to park his money. You can be assured BECU got another customer, even though Wells Fargo is just half a mile from our home. That’s sad, but not only that, it is disgusting and I now understand why you are sued so often.

Guy behind tbe counter was friendly, fast, and funny. With this being a newer , smaller location, there wasnt any wait which made my visit that much nicer. So if you have the time(no drive through) and are in need of banking with a smile I full on suggest this Wells Fargo branch.😊
