- KKKappaOct 24, 20251.0I’ve banked with KeyBank for about seven years, and this latest experience completely broke my trust. KeyBank denied a legitimate dispute, reversed the provisional credit, and left my account negative for nearly five months. Multiple automatic payments bounced, and I was charged overdraft and NSF fees. Months later, the merchant refunded me directly—proving my dispute was valid all along. I had to change how I received and spent my money, and it caused months of unnecessary stress. The customer service was dismissive, and the investigator who handled my claim clearly didn’t care. I have every right to take legal action and would win based on the evidence I have, but I’m choosing to let God handle this. After two serious incidents, I’m walking away for good. The staff at my local Mukilteo branch have always been respectful; my frustration is directed at the corporate level that mishandled my case. I no longer recommend KeyBank to anyone. Seven years of loyalty gone. God bless, and may this be a reminder to put people before policy. Oh and mind you, I got did hella dirty before this and was unemployed for almost a whole year, KeyBank knew this as well. Wild huh? To take the last $2500 of someone who hasn't worked in a year and then hold it for almost five months when they're already struggling is another level of diabolical.
