    This was a secondary account and decided to go in and close the account. Due to a "pending" transaction they could not close the account but was told they would do it the next day. Five days later the account wasn't closed, pending transactions were showing up which resulted in overdraft fees (embarrassing). I transferred the money to bring it to a zero balance, spoke to another rep that indicated she'd get the matter resolved and call back. Never called back, it's been days. Now, 13 days later the account has several accumulated overdraft fees and I was told that I have to cover the negative balance to make it zero again to close the account. None of this would've happened if the account was just closed or if TD Bank would've been willing to back out the overdraft fees, I would've covered the actual transactions to zero this out. Complaint to Banking and Insurance has been filed, awaiting outcome and update.

    Terrible with very bad vibes if you come in a brown person. Bad vibes when opening the account (suspicious of you) and run around when you want to close the account. In my opinion the setup is done to make notification hard when the account is overdrawn so they can charge you as much fees as possible. Avoid.
