At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities. That happens through real care to make things better. To meet client needs, to empower teammates, and to lift up communities.
Truist is horrible bank, the customer service is rude the people don’t care or explain things properly. Pick any other bank, no matter how bad you think other banks are they will not beat out Truist in this department.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2025, I visited the Truist Bank location in Woodbridge (the new branch that used to be the Boston Market) to open a business bank account. Unfortunately, the staff did not seem to understand the difference between opening an account using a registered agent versus a DBA (fictitious name).
My LLC was originally formed using my registered agent, and my DBA is filed under my under my name. i showed them were my name was located..Brenda didnt check the correct areas...Despite this being completely valid and visible in the SCC system, my account was placed on hold and my funds were frozen. I was later told that I "did not have LLC access," even though the documentation clearly showed the registered agent information.
This issue indicates a lack of understanding from the staff—specifically Brenda, Branch Manager—who had the access to unblock my account but Because she was unware of Business....regarding how registered agents function in business formation and banking. Because of this, I requested that my money be returned.
Brenda stated the funds had not cleared (even though they cleared per the teller). I asked her not to lie to me as that is not becoming of a manager...then she went and got my funds.
I want others to be aware: use caution when opening business accounts at this location, as the representatives may not be fully knowledgeable about registered agents and business documentation requirements.all paperwork showed full evidence that it was my Business.
I requested for the account to closed and my cleared monies were returned Friday Dec 5th.

Came to open an account for my 17 year old son. I noticed his name was spelled wrong even though they had his ID and all information needed, I asked the lady to please make the correction and we still received his card with his name wrong!! After 10 days waiting no one wants to help over the phone and want to charge me $30 to expedite the correct card

I visited this Truist branch intending to deposit money into my business account. Before doing so, I urgently needed to use the restroom. The tellers were busy, so I walked toward the pods and politely asked this African American lady if there was a restroom available.
Instead of simply answering, she asked, “Who are you?” in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and judged, as though I had bad intentions. I explained that I am a business account holder and just needed to use the restroom before making my deposit. She then denied asking “who are you” and told me there was no public restroom.
I ended up depositing my money at the ATM outside and leaving.
This experience was disappointing. I felt judged based on appearance rather than helped as a customer. I hope Truist provides additional training to ensure employees treat everyone with professionalism and respect. No one should feel uncomfortable or stereotyped when visiting their own bank.
