You can request a stop payment through online banking, our mobile app, or by calling your local branch. You’ll need the check number, amount, and payee details. Stop payment fees may apply.
What are ‘collected funds’?
Collected funds are money that has fully cleared and is available for withdrawal. Deposits like checks may take 1–3 business days to become collected, depending on the source and amount.
Can I stop an ACH transaction or automatic payment?
Yes, but it must be done before the transaction processes. Contact us as soon as possible with the payment details. Some recurring ACH payments may require written confirmation.
How long does a stop payment last?
Stop payments typically remain in effect for six months. You can renew or cancel them anytime by contacting the bank.
