Significantly better customer service than the AWFUL Town Center location. If I must visit a Truist branch going forward it will be here. The Pembroke one? NEVER AGAIN!!!

If I could give this bank a review with negative stars, I would do so.
I called the loan department regarding my auto loan to get the payoff on my loan.
I was on hold for an 1 and 28 seconds.
Shame on you! Being such a large financial company, you guys suck at customer service!
Change your ways or they’ll be more customers leaving you.
I would like to give a recommendation of Towne Bank amazing customer service and no hold times.
There is always a representative that picks up the phone on the first or second ring with a live agent.

Visited this branch today (9/12/25) and pulled into one of two drive-thru lanes. I sat there for 14 minutes before I finally tossed in the towel and drove off. I could hear the gentleman in the lane beside me complaining about how long it was taking. Not once did a teller press the mic and say they would be with me soon or ever for that matter. In my opinion, Truist (formerly SunTrust) in general has gone downhill since the merger with BB&T. We opened our account in 1987. We've seen several mergers, but this latest merger has been less than ideal. We've already moved our direct deposits elsewhere.

Customer service is HORRIBLE. After a number of years coming to this location, my experience had been positive until this year.
Weeks ago, one teller in particular acted as if she couldn't find the account I was referencing, despite it being opened and established for a number of years AND seeing me. Today she lied straight to my face and closed the location early while then reassuring with another teller that the time was correct. She saw me approaching on the sidewalk, heard me call out and hurried up and shut the door. When I inform her that there was still time is when she proceed the nonsense. Even a custimer outside i spoke with looked at his watch and said it wasnt 12 p.m.
Could definitely tell my presence isn't wanted here. I will gladly drive to the Lynnhaven location any time that I don't need to deal with these individuals.

Based on my personal experience today I would not recommend doing business with this branch. The manager was rude, condescending, and did not listen. I wish I had looked at the other poor reviews of this branch before coming in. I wish I could have given a zero for customer service but I cant.
