    While I don't have a personal banking relationship with AUB, I am in here A LOT for work banking purposes. Always service with a smile and no issues. Overall a pleasant experience whenever I visit which is much appreciated.

    I've been banking with atlantic union for about 10 years now and this will be the last year I do so. My fiance and I were in a car accident a few weeks ago and when we finally got our pay out checks (after getting yanked around by the insurance company for over a week) I suggested she make an account with my bank to deposit the check. She had concerns about accessing the money because she just made the account so I called this branch for clarification. Told the teller the account was new and we desperately needed the money for for bills etc. We were assured there wouldn't be any issues she could come in, deposit it no problem. She arrived at the bank and told the teller she would like to deposit it into her account. The teller took it, stamped it and then informed her after it was finalized that they were putting a hold on it until the second week of this month because it was a new account. The exact opposite of what we were told before she deposited it. I can't stand people lying to me or playing with mine or my fiancées money especially when we're already falling behind and still recovering from the accident. After this gets sorted out and we can finally have access to the money almost a month after the accident we will be closing our accounts and taking our business elsewhere. Not a good way to build trust in the relationship between the bank and the customer atlantic. I highly suggest anyone thinking of opening an account with atlantic union to look into other institutions to avoid the issues I've faced over recent years and now this incident. I Truly wish I could leave a 0 or negative Star reviews
