  Carter bank and trust claims to support the community and community businesses, but can't even be so supportive as to simply share a parking lot used by customers of both the bank and the neighboring Southern Plenty restaurant (a pillar of the South Boston community). They have resorted to using the local police to remove restaurant patrons vehicles from the lot, even when the bank isn't doing business. Guess they're happy with the customers they have, they sure aren't looking for any more. Edit: Here's response from Carter Bank: "Thank you for your concern about parking in our parking lot at the South Boston branch. Our parking lot is for Bank customers and associates and we do reserve the right to tow vehicles at the owner’s expense. We have worked with the restaurant to help make patrons aware of this, especially during business hours. Thank you again for your concern." To the owner: saying "MINE" isn't working with anyone. Instead of attempting to build good-will in the community, you're finding this very odd hill to plant your flag on, why? So you can guarantee parking for the 10 customers you get per day? If you can't work alongside your neighbors, how do you expect any of you to succeed in an area with limited capacity? I'd expect this behavior from a toddler, not a "community centered" business.
