  Horrible customer service. Refused to cash birthday check for a six year old in front of her. Worst banking experience ever.

  *Update from my previous review* While I've had issues with the 800 number and their customer service, the ladies in the Salem branch have always been truly amazing. They go above and beyond to help ensure my needs are met. The manager, Beth, reached out upon receiving my previous negative review and was very attentive to the issues I was having.

  I was waiting in the other line and the teller proceeded to talk about me. I was sitting in the parking lot singing a check then at the window the lady that the teller is helping starts talking about how she “didn’t know what I was doing “ and was “being weird” and said “I think she’s mad cause I passed her” and all the while the bank tellers are laughing with her. I literally had to step in and say I could hear them and I had to clarify that I was signing a check and I wasn’t mad and that I was just sitting there. Then they proceed to talk about food and restaurants with the customer for about 5 min while I’m sitting there waiting and having places to be. Then on top of that once they do finally decide to help me after making me wait 10+ minutes, they kept talking over me and not letting me explain what I wanted to do with my check and kept trying to correct me even though they weren’t even understanding what I was saying cause they weren’t listening. I have never had such an unprofessional experience at a bank before. This is just another reason why I’m planning to switch banks

  This branch needs to either be open and that should include the lobby or be closed. It's extremely inconvenient to sit in the drive through to complete multiple business transactions. It is also inconvenient to have to drive to a completely different location because the drive through teller has a maximum limit. The most annoying part is it being so random when the lobby is closed vs open.

  We visited 2 banks today and they are cloesd.. we have had a hard time doing business with this bank since the one closing New Castle!!!
