- BBBobSep 7, 20251.0Been a customer for a little over a year with Atlantic Union and I cannot wait for Monday to hit because I want to close out my account I cannot stand this bank they are absolute rubbish beyond shadow of a doubt. Atlantic Union is everything that is wrong with the antiquated banking system this country uses when we have tech and can send things via email Atlantic Union is the equivalent of the pony Express, they have terrible and rude customer service Representatives, fees for everything you get no help get no response all I want to do is charge you whatever they can charge to get money out of your account so they can put it in your pocket and a big screw you to the customer. It is painfully slow to do any type of transaction with this Bank it is beyond ridiculous. They should either step into the 21st century or just close their doors there is no excuse for how slow they operate. Can't wait to see this bank fold like a cheap suit.

I have drawn over 200k on this HELOC previously and paid it off. When I explained that I never received the first bill for this one so its not like I missed a "regular payment" they had no interest in waiving the late fee. After working in banking for 15 years I would expect more from a regional. But this is why people go with the large banks I guess. My mistake.

After Union's acquisition of my previous bank, I tried using popmoney that caused an issue for which I spent 5 hours talking to 6 different people in customer service over 2 weeks with the final recommendation that I setup online banking...again. I am writing this review before I switch banks to one more competent, a very low bar. Do yourself a favor and do NOT use this bank if you have other options. Union is a first rate disaster.
