- SKS K6 days ago2.0Physically branch itself is ok, it just has poor accessibility. The people there are nice but not helpful and Wells Fargo as a whole is just bad at everything and makes things unnecessarily difficult and complicated. I had 1 basic simple problem that most banks could fix in 5 minutes over the phone. I spent many hours on the phone many times and kept getting more and more problems and they kept saying you have to go in to a branch and provide documentation to try to fix these ridiculous problems. Then I go in to a branch (which is difficult and takes a lot of time/energy because there aren't many especially in convenient locations) and the teller gets the manager to help me who says you need a specific person who will only be here in an hour. Weeks Fargo is a terrible bank and I regret ever getting anything with them. I'm strongly considering closing all my accounts with them. I finally got to the right banker to help me just make an online account to view my transactions and manage my card after an hour of waiting. Then the appointment took like 1.5 hours and a lot of unnecessary complicated steps to just give me an account. I had to enter my social on their pin pad, which covers the keys but then it displays the social on the screen and doesn't hide any part of it which is really unsafe and worse than someone trying to steal it from the pad you enter it on. Then I had to enter my social on the app, enter it again, then log in with it to make a temporary account. They treat it like a phone number, not sensitive personal information. And in the app we kept running into many errors and had to call specific numbers, then wait a long time for them to try to do something about it over the phone. The whole experience was a horrible waste of time and took like 3 hours from start to finish to just make an account, which most banks let you do online in 5 minutes.
