- CHChelsea HemingerJun 12, 20161.0I have been a customer of USAA for over five years as well as my whole family. I am a waitress and I see credit cards from different banks everyday. When I used to come across USAA credit and debit cards I would always share to my customer base that it is the best bank I have ever been with but now I no longer feel the same. On June 6th I deposited 1,150 dollars in money orders. I ofcourse used the Mobile Depost App and everything went fine as I put some in checking and some in savings. Five days later, I notice my account was negative $500 I called right away and a representive told me that one of the money orders did not go through. I was shocked, it has been five days since I depostited and I thought that the money went through since the app didn't tell me that the picture may not have been perfect enough. I asked the representive what am i going to do? I need my money I am 6 months pregnant and need to save as much as I can. He stated there was nothing USAA can do and that they were not going to send me a refund check of $500. He told me to go back to where I purchased the money order and see what THEY can do. As a result, nothing. The grocery store could not do anything and even they stated they have never heard of a bank not refundin a money back that was rightfully mine. I was devastated I never felt so betrayed. I went online to see the photo of what i took and it was perfect. I could read all the numbers and information in the picture. Thanks to USAA I have lost $500 and I will now be swithching to Navy Federal. I will never go back and neither will my family. I have to now change my insurance, stocks, checking and savings. By far the worst expereience I have ever had with a bank and I will be sure to share my story with customers, friends, and family.
