Yes it ridiculous to think your building being recorded is a security issue, it's in public view and I see it on the Google map pictures 😆, but I don't think Lynn should catch heat, I've seen waaay worse.

If you're worried about identity theft, avoid using TowneBank. When I purchased my car, the dealer used TowneBank, and here’s what happened: TowneBank sent my payment book to the wrong address. Before I even made the first payment, they handed my account over to collections. They sent sensitive documents containing my Social Security number, date of birth, account number, and other personal information—completely unredacted—to my Gmail address. Their customer service was beyond rude. A person claiming to be the president of their North Carolina division assured me they’d handle the situation and follow up with me, but I never heard from them again. Despite their vague assurances about security, my private information was shared both internally and externally with no clear explanation or support. Lesson learned: Always ask which bank a dealership is using before handing over your personal information. TowneBank does not prioritize customer security, communication, or privacy

I'm shocked to read so many unkind reviews of my Towne branch and its manager Lynn Crump. In more than six years since we retired to Norfolk and started banking here, we have been pleased in every way every time by everyone there. In short, we simply don't get the vicious snark and will suggest readers be a little skeptical.

WORST. BANK. EVER. I used to bank with Monarch until the merger. Towne has ATMs that scan your deposits. They don't accept money orders--which is how my clients pay. They don't allow envelope deposits at all so I have to go to a branch during their open hours. Completely ridiculous.
