Third World Bank - Stay Away! After doing business with Suntrust for 20 years, I find Truist awful. There is no appreciation for my longtime loyalty to SunTrust. Very high fees for everything, pitifully low interest on money market accounts, no one answers the branch phone, the 800 number goes to a Philippines call center reps know nothing. Branches close at Noon Sat while Suntrust stayed open til 2. Truist also repeatedly denied my college grad son a basic credit card despite his excellent income with a major national company and his Truist account. I’m leaving. Truist is the worst!

Long wait and terrible customer service, including giving misinformation. Yet another reminder about how bad Truist is.

Just the worst. Sure, the people are very nice and all have smiles on their faces, but I have had the absolute worst experience at this bank. When you go in for help, they literally call the 1-800 number. It's so frustrating to sit across the desk from a banker unable to answer a question without doing what I would do at home! It took me 5 tries to get my name placed on my kids' accounts and when that failed and I closed their accounts instead, they close my account, which holds my mortgage. Took another hour to re-set up the account using....wait for it....the 1-800 number.
