When it was b b and t, it was a good bank. Now it's called truist, and they're going downhill.Slow customer service inside and outside.I need to hire some people. This is ridiculous, almost thirty minutes outside. There's a line and a half inside, not good

BEWARE!!! Bank elsewhere!!
My husband and I and our kids have many accounts at Truist for 20+ years. One of our sons has 3 accts, all opened at the Gainesville, VA location. Today, when we walked in the branch, we learned his MM account interest rate dropped 4.49%! He was not given any notification or reason for this jaw dropping change regardless of how many times we asked. When I got home I called the 800 number to try to get answers and was told it is up to the Branch manager. We’ve had many accounts at this bank for years this isn’t the first bad experience. We have learned our lesson and will be moving our funds from this bank.

I had lost my phone in the river on a float trip and needed some info to get my online banking going on my new phone. I called the branch in Gainesville Virginia were I opened my account. A "lady" by the name of Donna answered the phone and after briefly explaining my ordeal is when the attitude and condescending tone and questions and answers started. I understand there is security questions but she went way over board with over 6 questions and each time you could tell she was waiting and expecting me to answer wrong like I was guilty of something. After enough attitude I told her I wasnt gonna deal with it and hung up and then called my local branch, answered 2 security questions and was totally helped in a professional manner. I can't wait to pull a Karen and speak to that Donna twits manager tomorrow.
