At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities. That happens through real care to make things better. To meet client needs, to empower teammates, and to lift up communities.
The associates here are great!! However, corporate needs to help them out by providing more help!! Almost every time I come in, there is a line of people waiting and only 1 or 2 tellers available, but mostly only 1. Too much traffic to have so little help.
TO TRUIST CORPORATE: You are not providing your workers with enough help and it is an incredible burden on your workers AND your clientele.
Time is precious. 10 minutes at a bank to do one transaction, ok, reasonable of a place is super busy, but 30-45 minutes for one transaction name cause of the line of people waiting when all people have their own jobs and own lives IS GOING TO CAUSE those same people to take their business elsewhere.
3 stars overall
5 stars for the associates who work here
1 star for the fact that there is almost no help and it takes an inordinate amount of time just to do a single transaction due to waiting in line.

Terrible service. Would not up my spending daily limit on My Business debt card for 1 transaction so I could purchase a piece of equipment. Now this is a Debit card so it's my money in the bank I want to use. And this is a business account I have held with them for the last 12 + years. I will be moving my money to Bronco.

I don't deal with this bank, I pay my house payments to this bank, and just dealing with this bank for that alone. I know better than to put my money in this bank. When I say slow, it's very slow. You can be in the drive thru for a hour with only 3 cars in front of you. I mean it's bad. And they don't care about you waiting. Management must be very poor

First and foremost, let me suggest that you remove all of your assets from this BB&T Branch and get on over to the Farmers Bank on Southampton Parkway where you will get superior 5-star service from people who care about you and your loved ones.
My incapacitated father is stuck in an Alabama hospital, 879 driving miles away from anyone that cares about him. I've been working with this BB&T Branch for weeks, trying to get information required by a guardian to make decisions that a guardian has to make for incapacitated persons.
I first approached this BB&T Branch with an Advance Medical Directive and my Birth Certificate, showing that I am the son of said incapacitated person. I advised them that I would be traveling to Alabama to go before a judge and get the required documentation needed to take care of my father.
I did just that. I took several days off of work, without pay, paid $175 for fuel and another $160 for a motel while in the Alabama area. I attended probate court and was assigned the guardian and conservator of my father.
Now my father is bed confined in a hospital with no one there to visit him or check on him. In order to transfer him to a nursing home, I need to verify his income from the banks (simple monthly deposits). This is required of a guardian that fills out applications for Medicaid and/or admittance papers for nursing homes.
Everyone single one of my Dad's banks followed the direct order from the court except for BB&T. BB&T is refusing to follow a court order and allow me to take care of my father. BB&T is the sole reason my father is still in Alabama, awaiting to be transported closer to home and admitted to a skilled care center where his family can visit with him daily.
This BB&T Branch has the pain and suffering of a 72 year old incapacitated man on their hands and all they care about doing was going home on Friday evening to enjoy their weekend, while my day lays in a bed 879 miles away from his family.
The other day I took the same court paperwork to the Farmers Bank on Southampton Parkway, FIVE minutes before they closed. They made copies and said they'd help me the next day. I got off at 3 PM and by the time I arrived at Farmers Bank, they had everything I needed done! I was in Farmers Bank doing business for a total of 10 minutes (5 minutes each day) and accomplished more than I've been able to do get done with BB&T in several visits with that past few weeks.
So when I say go and get 5-star service at Farmers Bank on Southampton Parkway, I don't mean do this because I had a bad experience with BB&T. I mean go get 5-star service at Farmers Bank on Southampton Parkway, because you and your loved ones deserve to be treated like you matter!
I'm hoping The Tidewater News will publish my letter about my experience with this BB&T Branch.
