If I could leave zero stars I would. I went to Truist on 7/31. I use them for business checking. I was recently married. I came in with my license and marriage certificate to change my name on the account. Then I had to complete a wire transfer of 60k to close on an investment property. They immediately flagged me as FRAUD because my new Florida ID has a new driver license number on it. In Florida- after a name change they change your number. They acted like I was a criminal. They froze access to my funds. I was in the office for 2 hours crying demanding my money. The branch manager told me there is nothing she could do and I was committing fraud. The branch manage is incompetent. It wasn’t until she called her operations manager that they informed her SHE WAS WRONG. I’ve been banking with them since I was 14- 20 years. I will be moving all of my money out of the account and going to chase.

I’ve only been inside a branch three times—once to set up our account (Stafford) and twice at this location to have something notarized. My first notary experience here was pleasant. My next visit, earlier this week, was great. Natasha Brown Stokes was so helpful and friendly. She even fixed something on my account that I didn’t even know was an issue! I had asked about her recent vacation which led to her sharing wheelchair travel tips (for my son) as well as local resources, as we’re new to the state. I told Natasha that I needed to find a reason to come inside the bank more often! In our face paced world, it’s refreshing to make connections in our local communities. Thank you, Natasha.
