I'm very glad we aren't customers of this bank and we bank at Truist and take all our convenience store deposits to Truist as well. For the past 10 months we've been cashing a large sum check there with no issues. It's an individuals check that banks there/drawn on Atlantic Union and is ordered by Chesapeake courts to pay us monthly. Today, we go in and now on the 11th month, the teller wanted to charge us $10 just to cash it. We questioned this sudden practice and was told there was no one there that could override the fee. We left. I called and a Branch Manager was inside! I told her about what happened and she said yes there's a fee! After 10 months going inside doing same thing and now there's a fee! I hope people read this and think twice before giving this bank and this location their business.
