  I've had great experiences at the Burke Wells Fargo Bank; the staff there are a pleasure to work with and always have a smile. They are friendly and good at what they do and always delivery a satisfying result. They make you feel welcomed and are happy to assist you with what you need; I always leave there with a smile.

  I had an appalling experience at the Wells Fargo branch located at 5703 Burke Centre Parkway, Burke, VA, and I feel compelled to warn others. Specifically, I dealt with an employee named Joanne (spelling may vary), whose behavior was rude, unprofessional, and completely dismissive. I had a scheduled 10:00 AM appointment to close the account of my mother, who recently passed away—already a deeply emotional task. Joanne called me the morning of the appointment and insisted I arrive at 9:30 AM instead, claiming the process would take longer than anticipated. I adjusted my plans and showed up at 9:30 AM as requested. Upon arrival, Joanne reviewed my documents and stated that I only had a "copy" of the power of attorney and needed the original. I explained that I could return home, which is just five minutes away, to retrieve the original document and be back before 10:00 AM—the time of my original appointment. Instead of accommodating this, she refused, stating that I would now need to schedule an entirely new appointment. Her demeanor was shocking. She tossed the copy of the power of attorney document at me, refused to complete the process, and showed no regard for the fact that I had taken time off work for this appointment. When I asked to speak with the branch manager, Joanne claimed she was the manager, but later I discovered that was a lie after calling Wells Fargo customer service. She even refused to provide her business card, gave only her first name, and physically guided me out the door, essentially escorting me out of the branch. This kind of behavior is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with someone in an already emotional situation. I cannot emphasize enough how upsetting it was to be treated so poorly while trying to close my late mother's account. If you are considering banking at this branch, think twice. Joanne’s actions demonstrate a lack of empathy, professionalism, and honesty. I would not trust her with any financial matter, and frankly, she should not be working at a bank. Wells Fargo should seriously reconsider employing individuals like her. They deserve ZERO starts. I had to put one to ensure this could be seen to help others when deciding on banking with Wells Fargo. Proceed with caution if you choose to bank here.
