- VCVera CNov 10, 20221.0This branch is no different than other local branches. Newly hired and/or poorly trained bankers who can’t open an account properly without relying on a disfuncional, shadowy “back office”. Try calling corporate WF on the phone and they’ll escalate you to a complaints department of people trained to show empathy, call the branch, get the same answers you did, and then say there’s nothing more they can do, and they don’t know who or what department “back office” refers to. This is the end of the line as far as corporate customer service. They literally get paid to listen to complaints and pretend they care. Furthermore, many local branches don’t have bankers on duty every day. You can wait days for an appointment at a branch that isn’t your closest, then get stuck doing certain transactions only with that branch because they opened your account. If you are considering any Wells Fargo branch in the DMV for a new account, run away as fast as you can from all of them!! Join a credit union!
