I've been with Zions for about 10 years. It started great--I got wonderful response and was pleased with the products and service. But recently the service has dropped dramatically. Try calling the general help number and you will get someone who is trying first to get you off the phone (try this or go into the branch and solve it) not help solve your problem. I've sadly had that happen multiple times.
It's not the proud local bank it used to be. I'm really disappointed.

I've been a member of Zions Bank since I was 14. Every time I've gone in and needed something done at this location, I've hoped that I wouldn't get caught up with their nasty customer service employee who is ridiculously rude to anyone who needs her help. I mean, you'd go in to deposit money, cash a check, or withdrawal and she'd harass you because you needed her to do her job. To this day, I don't understand why on earth she still works there. There's no way I'm the only one complaining about her.
I had been in a car wreck a couple weeks before this last time I went in. The reason I was going in was to cash my settlement check with my insurance company. They wouldn't let me cash it without my husband being there because it had both of our names on it. Which is fine. She then went off about how I couldn't just cash it because the check wasn't through our bank and it would take a day or two to process. I understand that there are policies with a sum of money that large being cashed or deposited. Truly I wouldn't be near as bugged if she didn't treat me like I was stupid for not knowing that. It has my name on it just as big as his, plus, he doesn't even have an account with this bank nor is he on my account. But of course, because she's the nasty lady who treats you like garbage at the Spanish Fork Zions, I should have seen it coming. She literally laughed when I showed that I was somewhat upset with her not even being willing to help me. I've decided that I'm going to close my account over this, along with many other unpleasant occasions with her. When I do close it, I hope they ask the common question, "what's your reason for closing your account?" I'll just point right over to her work station and explain that she's treated me like garbage since I started banking here at 14. I think what sets me off most about this whole thing is that afterwards, I went and got my husband, went to his bank, and cashed the check with no questions and no harassment whatsoever. I understand that customer service job can be hard and you can burn out easy from them. I worked one with Capital One Credit Cards for a long time. If I had ever treated someone the way she treated me, and many other I'm sure, I would have been let go so fast. I hope someone find this review helpful and consider going to a different bank or at least a different location.
