First Community Bank first opened it's doors in 1905 as First National Bank of Layton. In 2019, First National Bank was acquired by Glacier Bancorp and was re-branded as First Community Bank Utah, Division of Glacier Bank. We continue to serve our local communities with personal attention and a friendly approach our customers have come to expect, all with the added resources of a much larger banking family.

- TTTylerNov 21, 20251.0Wouldn’t deposit my check - I’ve banked with this network for over 25 years and told me to go to the bank that issued it for cashier check then bring it back. Yes it’s slightly larger but nothing out of the norm. No explanation from the manager in person, just that it was large so they couldn’t. And THIS is exactly why I keep most of my money in high yield online banks. Operationally, have the manager come over, put your breakfast burrito down, and come give me a just a simple but friendly explanation of what is the protocol. I went to Wells Fargo and they can’t produce a cashiers check for someone who is not a member. So first community bank sent me to another bank in which I had to create a new account for just so I could get a cashiers check and take back to first Community Bank due to this process which started with first Community Bank I’m now a new member of Wells Fargo 100% due to first Community Bank. And that is where I’m going to be putting my money.
- LBLiana BeattyOct 28, 20251.0I’ve recently gotten married and FCB almost never lets me deposit checks with my married name or my maiden name if it also has my husband’s name on it, even if he’s there with his ID. We have to take it to my husband’s bank, who cashes and deposits checks with MY name without even needing my ID! Today they had me wait for 20 minutes with my restless infant just to tell me they couldn’t deposit a $20 check made out to me by my church. I’ve never had this much trouble and inconvenience from a bank, and I’ve been treated like I’m attempting something fraudulent for the last time. I’ll be taking my money and business elsewhere.

I have been banking with them for over 20 years and I have never been disappointed with the customer service I receive. They ALWAYS greet me with a smile and by name. I love everyone there! They are thorough, efficient and do a great job! So a big shout out to my favorite tellers which are Madi, Maddie and Leo! I have had a fun time getting to know them. They are fun to chat with while they are taking care of my banking! Another shout out goes to the awesome Mangers, Aleaya and Jessica. They too will greet me by name and always take the time to talk with me even if it is just for a minute. If you are looking for a great bank and good people to work with, you should go to the First Community Bank located on Main street in Layton. You won't be disappointed!

I was finding out more information from other banks on what to do. With that being said, all of the other banks with their wonderful communication didn't put up their applications until much later than First Community Bank. Thank you for saving my business, even if it's for 2 months.
