To anyone opening a Bank Account. I would avoid using this Bank! Customer Service is terrible & extremely long waits on the phone & they are basically useless unable to resolve standard issues. So that forces you to spend time running into the bank, where thier are never enough bankers, even if you make a simple deposit or withdraw (Plan a Minumuim of 30 minutes). Online interface & Set up is also terrible not very user friendly to navigate. This is your warning to avoide alot of frustration.

I came in with an issue on a transfer I initiated, Van at the branch, immediately tried to look into the issue and found out the problem. She called me back with insights on potential products I might want from TRUIST, defff happy I switched banks, thus far! :)

Word of caution to anyone that wants to start a banking relationship with Truist. When you open your Truist accounts, I'd wait a week before transferring any money into them, or at the most transfer the $50 minimum. I opened a Truist checking and money market account last night, and woke up to them both being locked this morning. I called into the fraud department, and they didn't give me any sort of resolution. They just said that they decided to lock my accounts due "suspicious activity", and that was that. No idea what that suspicious activity could be, since there was no activity to speak of due to the fact that the accounts were less than 24 hours old. If you search online, you'll see that this has happened to countless other people.

Bank to avoid. they adjust my mortgage payment without letting me know , then instead of applying my automatic payments to my principal and escrow , they start applying it to "late fee" all the way until I noticed credit history drop. Also there 1-800 robocall starts conversion from demanding my social security number. I don't trust this information to no one who can't prove itself to me first.
