I want to mention Brett Seelman, a branch ambassador at the Capital 1 Tyler Retail Branch. His assistance with a problem that I was having with the IRS was most helpful! Because of him, the problem was later resolved. Thank you so much Brett and Capital 1!!

"D. Thigpen is a Lifesaver! Above and Beyond Service!" I am writing this review to commend the outstanding service I received from Capital One employee D. Thigpen. I had an incredibly stressful issue regarding a payroll adjustment that multiple representatives before her were unable to resolve. The situation felt hopeless until I spoke with D. Thigpen. From the moment she took over, she was a dedicated and patient advocate. She assured me she would do everything she could to fix the problem, and she followed through completely. She did what no one else could do and got the issue resolved in a timely manner. True to her word, she even called me personally the moment everything was finalized. October 2025.

I like the bank and how we get deposits a day or two early.. my only complaint is the Overdraft. It’s ridiculous that even though money is constantly deposited into our account, we either can’t overdraft or it’s less than 20$. Which is ridiculous. CAPITAL ONE gets to decide what they cover or if they’ll even cover which is stupid. There should be a limit for over drafting that is SET! Id rather pay overdraft fees than to have a bank tell me yes or no. Sometimes people need to overdraft for gas, or unexpected expenses in between paydays. Once I’m able to find another bank, I’m out of here.

Capital One is the worst bank and United States of America to bank with. I have been with Capital One since I’ve been at my job which is 20 years. I had to posit it to government issued checks and they help my check both of you for a period of seven days is it like I had stole the checks baby when my checks clear Capital One can forget it. I will be canceling all my accounts. The sad part is I went inside the bank and ask the banker. How long would it take for my check to be in my account? She told me all it’ll be there the next day only to get a email talking about they had to hold a government issued check for seven days I would’ve just took out the chick who wrote the check and go to Cash and let them charge me $10. Times are too hard and people need their money. It cost me to pay my rent late causing me to have to pay an extra $200 but guess what that wasn’t Capital One’s problem and they didn’t care. Is the worst bank right now if you don’t have a bank account please do not use Capital One you’ll be very disappointing

Very inconvenient. I have to drive from the east side of Tyler to conduct business that cannot be done via the ATM.
