- TJTonya Joy-SoulesMay 2, 20225.0On the main floor (yay). Very nice lobby and teller areas. I came to cash a bday check from my mom. Her checking acct is with them. I do not have an acct with them. Unlike other banks, Plains Capital cashed the check after verifying who i was, and calling my mom to ensure she wrote the check to me. The dapper young man that handled my transaction was very personable, polite, respectful, and efficient.Other banks, like Bank of America, have refused to cash checks drawn on their bank, stating unless i have or open an acct with them, they would not honor the check. This was years ago. Coersion tactics to force people to bank with them. Needless to say, i refused to be bullied into opening an acct.They were rude, disrespectful, and that policy made absolutely no sense at all. I had to wait an extra couple of days for payment bcuz after telling my customer what happened, i requested either cash or a money order from them. So Capital Plains Bank, AWESOME. Bank of America, ZERO!
