That said, I have learned over time that the people working in these branches are not the issue, they are simply operating within the policies set above them. I maintain a relationship with Wells Fargo primarily for the convenience of having access to a nationwide branch network when traveling. The majority of my accounts, however, are with local community banks and credit unions, which I generally prefer and have been much more accommodating. If you are opening a new account, I would recommend a community bank first. If you do choose Wells Fargo, this branch is a solid option. The staff here is friendly, professional, and genuinely willing to help within the limits of what they are allowed to do.

My card information was stolen and used by someone to send themselves money through various apps. I filed a claim right away and even provided proof, including a police report, but Wells Fargo refused to honor my claim. Instead, they decided to take the stolen money out of my account. To make matters worse, the customer service was rude and unhelpful. They showed no concern for my situation and didn’t even care to review the police report I went through the trouble of filing. This has been a horrible experience from start to finish. Very untrustworthy and unprofessional service. I will not be banking with Wells Fargo anymore, and I highly recommend others stay away.
