- MSMark SmithOct 3, 20235.0I am not an account holder with Plains Capital Bank but received a check from one of their customers and wanted to pause and say thank you for the way that Adam Chong, Clem Soto and Erin Johnson (Plains Capital Bank professionals) handled a challenging transaction. I deposited a check (in which Plains Capital was the paying bank) into my bank of first deposit at Bank of America at an ATM at a local BOA branch in Lakeway. I would not recommend any BOA customer to attempt this in the future because BOA through that transaction debited the wrong customer at Plains Capital. Plains attempted to resolve it for BOA and as a result the funds wound up as an entry of error in BOA's back office. BOA's customer service and adjustment departments did not take responsibility on their end for close to a month and as a result, my business is leaving BOA. Local banks with people that have access to transaction records that can handle an occasional issue is invaluable. In this case Plains Capital put hours into assisting someone who wasn't a client of theirs deal with a large, inefficient corporate bank. Thanks for you help!
