- MFMatthew FormanJun 17, 20211.0I have been trying soooo hard to not leave a negative review but then I thought, if no one leaves negative reviews the higher ups in BB&T(now Truist) won’t know why we continue to give low ratings. Someone I know recommended me to open a business banking account with BB&T. Boy has that proved to be a mistake. They are not set up to handle a business that has to make large purchases with their business debit cards; that’s if you call a penny over $6,000 a large purchase. I just tried to make a purchase for $6,111.25, it was declined and now I have to wait for the branch I bank with, Rockwall, to receive an email back so that they can approve the purchase. When I asked how long is that going to take, I was told, “we don’t know, we just have to wait to receive an email back before we can approve it.” They put a lot of restrictions on our accounts and make it very hard to access our money that’s sitting in our accounts. They say it’s for our safety. I get that, but I also am trying to run a business and they have made it very difficult to do so. We also have to remember to tell them EVERY TIME we go out of town if we want our debit cards to work. And I’m not talking very far out of town, it could only be a couple of hours away and if it’s when they are closed, you’re out of luck. Good news! While I was typing this novel, I received a call back saying I can now make my $6,111.25 purchase. 🤦♂️ The people at this branch all seem nice. I think it’s just the way they are forced to operate by the higher ups and all the restrictions that are in place. Anybody listening up there?
