- MHMike HDec 26, 20251.0Avoid Wells Fargo at all costs. I reported unauthorized charges on my card and requested a stop payment, but Wells Fargo refused to place one. The fraudulent charges were never reversed. After canceling my card, they also refused to overnight a replacement, and the replacement card they issued never arrived. I escalated the issue to the branch manager, who was unhelpful and failed to resolve anything. The lack of accountability and poor fraud handling is alarming. If this happens to you, file a complaint with the CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau). Wells Fargo has faced multiple CFPB enforcement actions in the past. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
