Came in to use the restroom. Really had to. Asked the staff if I could and they declined just cuz I wasn’t a “customer”

I cannot recommend Truist at all. I opened a 2nd checking account with them and the first mobile deposit I placed, Truist placed A 10-DAY HOLD on it, even though the check was drawn on the 2nd largest bank in the US and was way under the usual threshold amount to justify this. I complained, asked to speak to a manager, and they reduced it to a 3-day hold, which was fine. A week later, I placed a 2nd mobile deposit less than $ 400.00 and once again Truist placed a 10-DAY HOLD on it! Unreal. This check was drawn on the largest bank in the US and cleared the next day on their end. Once again I called to complain - this time the manager was rude, abrupt, and refused to reduce the hold to 3 days. As soon as possible I am closing my accounts and selecting a different bank.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a bank. Went there to wire some money from a business account to escrow to finalize an acquisition and for some reason the lady kept asking for the “source of money” and said she wanted to “verify” the transfer made from my personal account to my business account even after showing the wire details from my personal account. And after calling a bunch of people (strange that being an employee she didn’t know who to contact for verification) and wasting half an hour she said that it’s closing time and we won’t be able to finalize the wire today and you’ll have to come tomorrow. After much argument she came to the conclusion that because my business account was a “new account” therefore she needed to “verify”. Make up your mind lady is it the source or the funds or my account being new. Absolutely ridiculous.
