I opened a 2nd checking account with them and the first mobile deposit I placed, Truist placed A 10-DAY HOLD on it, even though the check was drawn on the 2nd largest bank in the US and was way under the usual threshold amount to justify this. I complained, asked to speak to a manager, and they reduced it to a 3-day hold, which was fine. A week later, I placed a 2nd mobile deposit less than $ 400.00 and once again Truist placed a 10-DAY HOLD on it! Unreal. This check was drawn on the largest bank in the US and cleared the next day on their end. Once again I called to complain - this time the manager was rude, abrupt, and refused to reduce the hold to 3 days. As soon as possible I am closing my accounts and selecting a different bank.
