After 20min+ of a conference call with my bank, me, my friend, and their clerk, they couldn't cash the check. They claimed the manager needed to review it, then they claimed the "system" didn't approve it, but could not give a reason. My bank confirmed the check should have cleared. My friend gave all documents requested, answered all questions, but was capriciously told the check "seemed suspicious." My friend said the clerk was dismisive and rude, to include eye rolls. Miserable, unacceptable experience.
