The lady pretty much said I couldn’t cash the check there. Only options is to open an account with them and which I couldn’t today because there were no staff to open an account. She also stated that I needed to deposit into my account. When I specifically asked for the fee and required documents of identification. Although I asked to speak to a Manager he didn’t provide needed information either. I took the risk of bringing my mom in. I told my mom to wait on a different clerk due to the misinformation being provided by the previous clerk. The clerk stated (wish I would’ve gotten her name) it will be no more $10 to cash. End up being no fee with the type of check my mom had. The fact that they’re gatekeeping on cashing a check with their establishment’s name on it is horrible. Perhaps stereotyping I have no idea, but it’s beyond unprofessional for customers to have deal with. Provide customers with adequate information when it comes to business not your opinion. Highly distasteful. I have no names and I wish I did. For the clerk who took care of my mom I thank you for handling business, being professional and informative, and taking care of my mom as the bank is supposed to.
