This bank is a complete joke. I deposited a legitimate payroll check that fully cleared, yet Truist still froze my account and refused to release my own money. Not because the check was bad but because of their internal incompetence and risk paranoia. Customer service was useless at every level. Representatives had no idea what they were talking about, contradicted each other constantly, and kept sending me in circles. One rep would tell me to call another department, that department would say they can’t see anything, and then I’d be sent right back. No accountability, no ownership, no answers. Despite the funds already clearing, I was told an “analyst” needed to review the account and that I had to jump through ridiculous hoops just to access my own paycheck. Meanwhile, I was left stressed, confused, and without access to money I earned. The employees sound untrained, the systems are broken, and the communication is nonexistent. If this is how Truist treats new customers, I can’t imagine how they handle real problems. Avoid this bank at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like a risk instead of a customer and begging for access to your own money.

They wont cash a $20k check from their own bank even from one business to another. Nit even order the cash. The reason? Because they dont feel confortable with it. Laughable 🤣

I have a business account with them and they did not have me or my company’s best interest. I’m literally sinking right now due to them not being open and honest with me now my business account is frozen I literally have no access to my money!

I used BB&T for financing my home. This week I noticed where my January's monthly payment went up by $500. When I called the representative informs me that they "didn't account for the school tax at closing". So this increase is due to the inclusion of the school taxes and the shortage of the escrow. Very disappointed! *Small update...I' ve been working on trying to get this resolved. Looked online yesterday and they have reduced my mortgage payment back to it's lower amount. I called to inquire what happened and it appears "they were notified of another tax, however it wasn't accurate" is pretty much what the representative informed me. Thank God this was resolved!
