- SSStephen StoeverDec 16, 20251.0I am currently (Dec 16) attempting to report fraud to capital one for charges from my debit card that I did not recognize. Some of this originated from my computer as my home was robbed while I was gone. Rather than credit my money back, capital one keeps giving me reasons to deny my claim of fraud. They originally claimed thet denied the claim because I told them I had possession of my physical debit card the entire time. I assumed this meant the charges were made with my physical card. Come to find out, reading my account statement, some of the charges are shown as by capital one to be digital card. Others are online only retailers, like uber. Then they have charges they still claim my physical card was used spent at the exact same time in multiple stores, all after the store is closed. Al information they have given me so far proves my physical card can’t have been used yet capital one still refuses to report these charges as fraudulent and has not credited me any of my stolen funds. At what point is the bank an accomplice of fraud? In my opinion, capital one is now the fraud.
