Unfortunately, my experience with this Amegy Bank branch has been very poor, primarily due to the lack of support from the branch manager. For several months, every business check I deposited was placed on hold for one to two weeks, even though these were legitimate client payments. During these holds, normal business auto-payments continued to process. Because deposited funds were not made available in a timely manner, this resulted in hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees, totaling over $600 across roughly three months. I contacted Amegy’s customer service multiple times, and last month I was clearly informed that this situation was recognized as a bank-related issue, and that the overdraft fees would be refunded. However, no refund was issued. When I followed up again, customer service advised me to resolve the matter with the branch manager. The branch manager stated that he could not refund the fees, offering only a partial amount (approximately $80), which did not reasonably address the loss caused to my business. The branch manager also explained that I should not have contacted customer service and that all communication should have been handled directly through him. This expectation was never communicated to me beforehand. Additionally, customer service informed me that deposits made through mobile or online banking are routinely held for one to two weeks, and that the only way to avoid these holds is to physically visit the branch for check deposits. As a result, I repeatedly had to go to the branch over several months simply to request release of funds, which required significant time and effort. When I expressed concern about the impact this was having on my business, the branch manager advised that I was welcome to close my account, rather than offering a resolution. I have never experienced this kind of banking process at any other institution. I strongly encourage business owners to carefully consider these policies and the level of support provided at this location before opening an account.

I recently had fraud activity on one of my accounts. I didn't feel comfortable speaking with a banker over the phone to issue a new card. I work in Memorial City so I stopped by to get a new card issued. This location helped me have piece of mind thank you Josh & Ms. Martin.
