  Once again, Amegy Bank has satisfied. Went to see Nick Hafford there this morning to open a safety deposit box, that’s free because I converted a Gold account. He also professionally and patiently dealt with another issue that required phone calls and computer work. Has not just made banking easier, but possible in so many ways for me.

  Due to an HR issue, my check wasn't deposited into my Regions Bank. Instead, I picked up a printed check and deposited it into my joint account i have with my elderly mother at Amegy. The only reason I deposited into the Amegy account is because the ATM is near my house. They put a hold on my paycheck until the 11th. I went in to plead with the branch manager, and she didn't even speak to me. Instead, the teller came back and said she would have to hold it for at least a few days. Note, we have been with Amegy for 30 plus years. We opened a check with them years ago when it was Klein Bank. My mother's social security has been automatically deposited into the account consistently since she retired, and she's now 88 years old. I informed them that I needed the money to renew my mother's medication, but they still insisted on holding the check. I hope my employer will put a stop to that check and cut me a new one. Thinking of closing the account with Amegy and opening a new account with Regions for mom's social security deposits. I have had the best experiences with Regions Bank and their customer service. ***edit***my employer could not stop the check because it had already cleared their bank. The check was deposited Monday morning and cleared by Tuesday morning. As of Wednesday afternoon, my funds still have not been released.

  I left this bank a month after account open . They held my income tax refund for the whole week . A year later I open account with a credit union and they release my income tax three days early . Amegy bank sucks .

  I would like to give a big shout out to would like to give a big shout-out to both Ameke and Connie at the vintage Amegy bank, today my daughter and I walked in to the biggest most pleasant smiles I have seen in a very long time!! To top that Ameke couldn't have been more patient and helpful with my daughter who is just a beginner in the world of grown ups THANK YOU AMEKE AND CONNIE!!!!!!!!
