- AMAmanda MooreNov 14, 20251.0I have been a customer with this bank for sometime. I have tried to get a loan from this bank for sometime, in which has been denied these last years. In 2012-2019 the service to get approved was much faster and I was always approved. I have good credit, a job, and assets and was going to secure the loan with a paid in full car. In which I was requesting a loan for repairs on a vehicle. I gave all the needed information upfront to expedite the loan to the underwriting..I called this morning and a decision has not been made. I explained to them what the loan would be used for to only be left on hold. I have applied with other leading services for $199,000.00 and have been approved. But I wanted to use my bank and always is denied large amount of loans. After speaking with people around town I was told by many, it's not a credit issue it's a color issue. You are not the race that is allowed a loan with Prosperity Bank. I believe it to be of facts because I went to another source and was approved immediately.

I have on occasion sent packages to Prosperity when they were urgent and needed a signature, as the location of my home provides no opportunity to sign for packages. Today I was told that it wouldn't be possible to do that - rather than take responsibility they blamed it on the mail services, saying they would not deliver my mail to the bank. Obviously management made a poor decision injecting that lie, as I've had several packages delivered there in the past without an issue. Sad!
