- RFRikki FerrymanOct 5, 20251.0Update to add: Wells Fargo does not require you to be a vested member in any way to open a business account Just $25!! I will never walk into another DATCU, I experienced absolutely no support for small business! It is asinine to tell a patron where they can or cannot receive their money from!! After years of idolizing DATCU for their customer service, I walked out of your bank not once but twice in thirty minutes. At this location I was told, “you cannot open a business account unless you are a VESTED account holder for over six months”, with many Americans opening side businesses that seems a bit restrictive… and I wanted to deposit money that day! After initially walking out prepared to go to another bank known for “the best small business perks” as I was clearly NOT receiving that here… I thought about it and went back in. Let’s sit down with a personal banker, which they clearly “strive” for in all their review responses, because maybe if I explained where we were and where we’re going, then we could accomplish something today. Within three minutes of sitting down, I walked back out. I was told verbatim that “DATCU doesn’t allow you to deposit money from square/business into personal accounts.” I will never walk into another DATCU, I experienced absolutely no support for small business! It is asinine to tell a patron where they can or cannot receive their money from!!

Datcu removed the money on 4th and sent the check out snail mail on 8th, Bill pay is through 3rd party.Bank shows check has been scanned 3x, but payment should have been there by 13th, now 18th and my car payment is now late!! I went to bank to ascertain why it's late, he is not sure why. But I can pay the $32 stop payment fee and still be late due to their snail mail. I thought it was sent electronically, I could have sent a check to lender myself and not ever be late! I closed my savings account and come Friday, once my paycheck post and I can withdraw it, I will be going back to a real bank who bill pays electronically and never is late!! Datcu lost my business forever after 14 years..
