The employee 's are great the only thing I hate is there phone system everytime you call no one answer's I have called like all day and left messages no one returns my calls, the last time someone answered they gave me my agents number she never reply's or calls back,and I live 3 hours from corpus christi tx , so I call to pay over the phone,I hate using after hours phone to pay because they only give you a conformation number for your payment receipt they should email it like office does

7/3/25- On July 3 at 1:33 PM I spoke to Belinda at this office and was shocked by how I was treated. I had called earlier that morning and spoke with Melanie, who was professional and helpful. Later, when I followed up with Belinda about getting a document emailed as a PDF for an elderly relative, she kept cutting me off and talking over me. I asked several times to be allowed to speak, but she deliberately raised her voice over mine and then hung up on me. I was stunned.
I tried calling back immediately to speak with a supervisor, but for nearly two hours the line just went to voicemail, no one answered. That’s why I’ve decided to post this publicly. People calling this office, especially those trying to help elderly family members, deserve to be treated with respect and patience. Belinda’s tone and actions reflect poorly on this office and the company as a whole. I will be contacting corporate and I hope her supervisor investigates this and takes action.
Experiences like this should make others consider whether or not to do business with Kemper Life without worrying about how they’re going to be treated by the local office.

7/11/25 - Update: After Kemper Life responded to my original review and asked me to email them, I did, and I included my phone number as well. It’s been a few days now, and I haven’t received any kind of reply. It makes me wonder: if a customer has a concern or complaint, will it just go unanswered? I’m still open to hearing from them if they choose to follow up, but so far, the lack of response hasn’t inspired much confidence.
7/11/25 3:57 PM - About 30 minutes after I updated my review today, I received a call from Kemper Life, and I really appreciated the quick response. The woman I spoke with was kind, professional, and took the time to listen. When I shared my concerns about how Belinda handled things, she assured me the matter would be addressed and made it clear that Belinda’s behavior did not reflect Kemper Life’s standards. She also helped me resolve the original issue I had reached out about. I truly appreciate the follow-up and the way it was handled.

Agent called me stating, I hadn’t paid my policy in 2 months. I already had life policy in place but purchased a new policy with a new agent the prior month (the agent is no longer with the company). I told the agent my policy was automatically drafted from my bank account. She proceed to tell me I owed 2 months but not able to tell me what date it was suppose to be drafted and said I need to pay ASAP. One of my policy’s was automatically drafted however the prior agent did not set up with new policy. Agent then told me to text her my bank information. I told her i didn’t feel comfortable doing that and would go in person to office. Poor communication between agents and each month they have new agents. This agent didn’t even have my phone number she got it from my sister who has a policy. How on earth do i have a policy and have been paying for over 4 years and my account doesn’t even have a phone number. Also no business and totally unprofessional to disclose information to a relative about your policies.
