    Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with this bank. 1) We were looking for a local bank to set up a checking and savings account. For the checking account, we opted to have a debit-only card. We also opted out of overdraft protection. What we did not know is by not having overdraft protection/the ability to run the card as a credit card, you cannot order items online or shop at any establishment that does not ask for a pin. 2) Our fourth week of being with this bank, my weekly check from work had a hold placed on it that was set to last 18 days. When I called the customer care center, the reason I was given was that I “was a new customer.” When I went into the local branch, the representative said the hold was placed by a member of a different branch, but I was not given another reason. 3) We opted to close both accounts due to our experience. We were charged $50 total, $25 per account, since we had been customers for less than 6 months. Those who work in the bank are very nice, but we did not feel well informed of policies regarding the debit card, holds on cleared checks, and on account closing fees. The bank’s policies and structure are not good.

    Love this bank. They are always helpful and really care about their customers. You can get a debit card on premises and they have loans and wealth management accounts. It is a Texas Bank but they are associated with some other Banks for ATM privileges.
