Extremely disappointed in my experience with Truist regarding my business line of credit. I opened a business LOC in 2022 with a maturity date of November 7, 2025. In September 2025, I requested a renewal and signed the paperwork under the clear understanding that the line would renew for another 3-year term. At no point during the renewal process was any new maturity date disclosed to me verbally or in writing. The renewal documents contain no maturity date at all. Only after signing was I told that my renewed line now matures on May 8, 2026 a dramatically shorter term than any reasonable business owner would expect. Had Truist disclosed this, I would have simply paid off the line instead of signing a renewal I believed extended the term for three years. This lack of transparency and failure to disclose a material credit term has created unnecessary financial disruption and shows extremely poor business practices. I have asked for clarification and documentation several times, but the response so far has been inconsistent and unhelpful. I trusted Truist to be upfront and clear about the terms of my business credit. That didn’t happen. I cannot recommend Truist to any business owner who values honesty, proper disclosure, or clear communication about loan terms.
