The last one is they put a 7 business days (10days ) hold on my check because they said the amounts is large and the already cash the check from the bank I had the check. And they told me they hold it after 4 days I already deposit the check and I write a check base of the money and Iam at the bank at 2 pm and the manager is out for 1 hour lunch break

Long story short, it cost my family and me around $10–$12k in attorney fees because they claimed the Power of Attorney (POA) my grandmother had set up wasn’t the correct one to help her move her money to the state where she was living. I then spent another $3k and over a year working with an attorney to be granted legal guardianship over my grandmother. Even then, they refused to release the money unless the new account I was transferring the funds into had their very specific wording—something four different major banks I went to said they couldn’t match. Now that my grandmother has passed, and because I couldn’t secure her money in a trust, I’m left dealing with the cost and stress of probate for her estate. The craziest part is that just 14 months before I tried to move her account, they had no issue taking her money to open the account in the first place—yet shortly after, they deemed her “not of capacity” to transfer her own funds to a bank in the state where she lived, even though I was her designated Power of Attorney and later the court-appointed guardian over her estate. On top of all this, Renasant is only a small regional bank with branches in just six states, yet they created massive roadblocks that no major financial institution I approached could accommodate.
