- EBErin Boike5 days ago1.0I don't know if this review belongs at this particular location, but it's where I signed my closing documents. Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE ON A CONSTRUCTION LOAN WITH TRUIST! I've done my personal and business banking with BB&T forever (acquired by Truist), and so I ignored several people's advice that I do the construction loan through Mountain Commerce instead because Truist was known to handle them poorly. I should have listened. The woman that helped me apply for the loan was helpful to me through the process (though was apparently rude to my builder, can't confirm because I wasn't present for that conversation). But the loan officer? The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Completely avoidant of any conflict caused by Truist--just straight up won't return calls or emails unless it's something he can respond to in one sentence. In the latest instance, Truist actually misapplied my interest payment to principle (not user error, I sent screenshots), which resulted in me having to pay $1,200 in a month I only contractually owed $600. Not only was it not refunded and nothing done to correct it, but my loan officer still hasn't even responded to my messages and it's been 2 weeks since I sent them. I started calling the other lady who'd helped me through the application, and while she says all the right things (we do this to protect you), the actual loan officer's actions speak much louder than her words. There is no effort to protect the customer or even do right by them at all. It is incredibly cold (honestly kind of shady) service, especially when you consider the amount of these loans!!! Just take out your construction loan with a different bank. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

He made me feel comfortable and took care of my banking needs. He asked the right questions at the right times to help me deposit a check and I actually opened an account with Truist. Also Andy, a personal banker, was unwilling to help with an account that had been previously opened. In fact he was very sarcastic in his responses to my wife! We will be moving all of our accounts to solely Regions soon.
