Two times in a row I waited 8+ minutes in the drive thru, once I was at the window and sent my request in, before even being acknowledged.

I bank here. It's close to home, and they are generally very helpful. I normally only go in when I need help or have something that needs attention. I try to do most banking online, but sometimes you need to see your banker. And it's great they are close to home and are helpful.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK. Ever.
I signed up for truist. My funds were taken out of my other bank but not deposited for days into truists account to be made available. I went in to take the money out to pay bills and go get my debit card to link to my direct deposit (I'm a 1099 contractor and use my debit card instead of routing/account). They said one would be ordered they couldn't print one in bank.
I wait weeks and the debit card never shows. I go back into the bank because I now also have a maintenance fee. They waive the fee and said a card was never ordered and they're sorry and they'll do that now. No big deal I think, I'm still using my other bank until I get the debit card 🤷
WRONG. After I complete my direct deposits and wait a month for the $400 promo to land it never does. After 30 days I get an email that says I'm not eligible. Call customer service and that guy is clueless and files a research request. I then go into the branch because the guy on the phone could barely understand me. They say it'll be around 25 days to research it.
I wait my 25 days and nothing.
I go back into the branch and waste an hour only to be told the research team is backed up and they can't help me. Just keep waiting.
I then message truist on FB and finally a few days later they message me and then call me. The lady claims to be a customer care advocate for social media and told me she reviewed my account and because the maintenance fee put my account negative it broke the terms of the promo and they will not be paying it out. Also said she has no manager or anyone above her I can contact and that she is higher level leadership than a supervisor at customer service.
So due to THEIR employee lying and not ordering a card thus causing me to delay my direct deposits and thus causing a maintenance fee which they waived.... they won't pay it out. I was told I should have left my money in the account and not taken out what I initially deposited and then this wouldn't have happened.
..... I'm supposed to let my money sit in an account I have no card to use? Also if the card was ordered the first time like I was told my pay would have then been deposited and thus no maintenance fee and thus no problems.
Their employee mistake was a convenient way to not pay their promo.
I was also told if I don't like it I can mail in a formal complaint to their office. How far will that get me when I can't even be contacted back and your branch doesn't care 🤣

I have been a client of SunTrust for a bit over 15 years now. 13 of which when I was living in TN and now I stayed with them when I moved out of state. They are still so very helpful no matter the questions I have or problem I need fixed. They worked with me through 2 mortgages, a second mortgage, and helping me with my aunt's guardian out-of-state account. When I first moved out-of-state I move my account to a local bank. That lasted about 3 months then I returned to my SunTrust because I missed the personal service. Great job everyone at the Gleason Dr Branch. You've been great and continue to do so.
