Those who had mortgage loans from FirstBank and was transferred over to "Specialized Servicing Loans" take notice that if you are sending in extra payments through bill pay as you did in the past this service that FirstBank moved to is stealing money from you by applying extra payments to interest (basically making a second mortgage payment vs applying to principal). I would suggest no longer using this bank or their services.

My branch knew nothing about the letter, copied it, and said they would get back to me. That was over a week ago and no response. The letter seemed to indicate that I had the option of opting out of this sharing of personal information. It seems odd that no one at my bank knew about the letter. It would be nice to have some one give me details on the letter.
