- CTChuck TurnerMar 13, 20241.0Edit, I now believe that they were turned down because they're too old that's still discrimination Well my 80 year old parents went last week to apply for a loan to replace their roof, and mind you they've been good customers with many repaid loans to Wells Fargo for more than 12 years, and they were denied with some ridiculous reason given. My parents don't have a lot of money, but they pay their bills on time and have good credit, and they always do the right thing. Therefore I decided to come home a few days ago and cosign for them as I live in Atlanta. Mind you I have exceptional credit, and more assets with my spouse than that branch manager will make in 3 years, but did they ask me for any financial information other than my monthly income, NO they did not, and as a matter of fact they didn't even run my credit report, because I receive an email every time there's activity on my credit report. So we left and went to Safe Federal Credit Union, and opened them a new account, and then my mom and I applied for the loan which was approved in less than 5 minutes, and the nice lady who helped us just couldn't understand why Wells Fargo would deny me, and guess what I received an email that Safe Federal Credit Union inquired on my credit report. So I am in the process of switching all of their accounts over. I suppose the only reason I can think of as too why I couldn't cosign is because I'm gay, which is odd because they're based in San Francisco 🤔 Such a horrible experience and my mother was upset 😡 screw you Wells Fargo. Oh for those of you who wonder why I didn't just give them the money is because as a couple we don't loan money to anyone ever

I don’t frequent the bank often but if I need to sit and wait for a banker, it’d be nice to have bathroom to use. I had to leave the bank and go across to the hospital and go back to the bank to complete my business there. Seriously unacceptable
